Hi, I'm using this website for definitions for my college science course, i haven't used it before and it said "You Have Messages" and i dont think it's to me because im not registered and i've never edited or vandelised any pages on Wikipedia, I don't know if you can reply because, again, i'm not registered and hope i don't get blocked from using Wikipedia because it's very helpful for my course! Hi Alexia. I hope you get this response! Don't worry about being blocked if you're not vandalizing. If you don't create an account, sometimes you get messages aimed at other anonymous users from your school or Internet Service Provider. It's unfortunate, but it's the best we can do without requiring people to create accounts. In any case, we never block anyone from reading Wikipedia, only from changing it. like alexa, everytime i use this website i also get this messga eand i'm not vandalising the site either. i suggest the there is a serious problem of duality which needs to be addressed!

There is no problem. When you use a shared computer, all we have to identify you is the IP address, and sometimes different computers get the same IP too (depending on the provider of the connection). The only real solution is to get a Wikipedia user account. It's free and they don't even ask for an e-mail or your real name (though you may choose to supply it). --Pablo D.
