Really? I suggest you stop supporting highly biased articles about Conservative politicians and allow free speech. Your ludicrous attempts to prevent me from expressing my opinions are in contrast to the stated aim of this site.
[edit] This is an encycopedia, not somewhere to bash the tories
Please stop inserting an anti-tory POV in to the encylopedia. Iainscott 11:31, 15 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Then I suggest you stop inserting pro tory POV into the encyclopaedia. People have the right to know the truth about these politicians and journalists, and if you don't accept that it's unfortunate.
Please see, read, and inwardly digest the NPOV page. Iainscott 11:38, 15 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- I suggest you do the same, and stop inserting blatant pro Tory propaganda into these pages. These articles are supposed to be comprehensive, and readers have a right to know the truth.
Then let us give the readers the truth: i.e. the facts, and let them draw their own conclusions. If we put opinions in the articles, we should be clear on who holds them, and how widely they are held. Your edits mostly appear to showing anti-tory bias (which admitadly I agree with), as opposed to a neutral point of view, which is the point of this encyclopedia. Iainscott 11:50, 15 Aug 2004 (UTC)
OK. Then please tell me what is wrong with pointing out, for example, that Thatcher avoided contributing to Britain's war effort by going to Oxford in 1943. Many others who were offered a place there deferred entry until after the war so they could assist in the war. People are entitled to make a balanced judgement based on information available, and they have a right to know this detail, amongst others.
nothing, probabally, if that is verifiable and non trivial (lots of people went to university in the UK during WW2 instead of doing national service: teachers, doctors, etc.). But you added that information to Maggies page in exteamly POV language. Iainscott 11:59, 15 Aug 2004 (UTC)
