Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Stephen Colbert. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. I agree that putting step by step instructions on how to vote is not appropriate and I allowed you to remove it. Furthurmore, the website has taken measures such as allowing voting for only people that have registered on the site. Your comments are appreciated but Wikipedia tries to maintain a civil attitude and does not condone blanking of entire sections without a valid and unemotional reason.
Edits such as this: "Obviously not recognizing that the whole name voting is mostly regarded by locals as an awkward popularity initiative by the local government...Stephen is presumably not aware of that in Hungary, landmark naming practice uses names of already departed people, thus voting on a living person is considered somewhat sinister" is insulting to Colbert and also assumes information about the Hungarian government and Colbert's lack of knowledge. Colbert, who as you might have read, plays a character on the show he himself calls a "high class idiot." Because the character on the show purposely is bigoted and stupid, comments like the ones he made about Zrínyi Miklós are expected and purely satirical and not the views of the real Stephen Colbert. For example, he has acted out the Asian stereotype "Ching Chong Ding Dong" which has been repeatedly shown on the show with hardly any protest from the Asian community despite the fact it is based off hundred-year old stereotypes. Lastly, you do not speak for Hungary even if you are Hungarian. You cannot assume "Hungarian viewers typically found Stephen's in-show offense remark about Zrinyi...senseless and repelling" without proof through polling, displays of public protest or a credible news source. Thanks for becoming more civil and please don't edit articles that you have strong feelings about.Gdo01 13:51, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] About Colbert

I agree with your position that it is of little taste to criticize other cultures, etc. I understand, but I think you also need to understand that what Colbert is saying in his show is all joke, nothing is to be taken seriously. He is making fun of the tv news personalities that act the way his character acts. If you think about it, he is actually saying how stupid are the people that make those comments he (or his character) is making. I think most people get it. I don't think anyone would consider Colbert to be against gays or a racist, and yet he makes many comments in his show that might make you think that that is the true. But it is not, it is all a joke to make a point. Cjrs 79 04:59, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
