School IP address Attention:

This IP address, 195.194.178.251, is registered to University of Derby (UK) and may be shared by multiple users of an educational institution. If the institution uses proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason a message intended for one person may be received by another. Similarly an innocent user may be blocked for another user's vandalism. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please read our advice on this situation.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block with the template {{schoolblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of persistent vandalism from this IP address, anonymous editing may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time. Abuse reports may also be forwarded to your school administration for investigation.
School staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

This IP address has been repeatedly blocked from editing Wikipedia in response to abuse of editing privileges.
Further abuse from this IP address may result in an extended block.
If you wish to contribute to this encyclopedia, please create an account at home and log in with it here.

Due to persistent vandalism (see edit log), editing by anonymous users from your school, library or institution's IP address may be currently disabled. You continue to have full access to read the encyclopedia. If you are logged in but still unable to edit, please follow these instructions. To prevent abuse, account creation via this IP address is probably also disabled.

If editing is required for class projects, please have your teacher or network administrator contact us (with reference to this IP address) at unblock-en-l from an email address listed on your school's website. Alternatively, if you have no Internet access at home, you may email us using your school-issued email address, telling us your preferred username. An account will be created for you. Please check on this list that the username you choose has not already been taken.

[edit] Warnings

Please stop creating article about you or your mum, both are not important enough to have an article in an encyclopedia. And it would be good if your other articles would contain more than one sentence. andy 17:08, 4 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Could you please begin with complete sentences rather than dictionary-style definitions, and highlight the title phrase at its first appearance. Thus if an article is titled John Smith, it should not begin by saying

Author of an important book.

but rather by saying

John Smith is the author of an important book.

Michael Hardy 02:34, 6 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for all your contributions. Why not create an account so your user name will be attributed to your articles? Here are some useful links in case you haven't already found them:

I hope you continue to enjoy editing here . UtherSRG 14:29, 17 Dec 2003 (UTC)

I would like to also say that you are welcomed to edit here and we appreciate your contributions, but please try to add some more context to the articles you create. There needs to be at least some basic info for an article to be useful. For example your entry on San Marino, San Marino simply said "The capital of San Marino." which is not enough to qualify it as a stub. Also please consider getting an account. Dori | Talk 15:24, Dec 18, 2003 (UTC)

[edit] 2006

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! -- Alf melmac 15:42, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Who this person is...

They are a student at the University of Derby. I know this, because when I went on to Wikipedia, I got a message saying that I have new messages, (depite me not being logged in). I checked, and my IP address is the same as the user. I am posting this from the University's library.

[edit] Buxton

Thanks for you edits to Buxton. However, no matter how delicious the pasties are at the Buxton branch of Gregg's, it's not really important enough to go in the article - unless perhaps Elvis is alive and well and baking them in the back? --Kateshortforbob 15:23, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Seriously, though. Stop adding this stuff to the article. It's only going to get removed, and I'm sure you probably have a reading list to be catching up on. --Kateshortforbob 15:25, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
