[edit] Summary

The 1959 Pattern Dennison Parachute Smock was cut less generously than earlier versions as it was no longer intended to be worn over personal equipment (but under parachute harness) while parachuting. The hemline was also much higher, and wool cuffs had been added. The most obvious change, however, was in the pattern and colour of the camouflage.
