[edit] Fair use rationale for Andrei Sakharov and Igor Kurchatov
Though this image is subject to copyright, I feel its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:
- This is an old Soviet photo of 1958, having almost no commercial value, the copyright belong to Government of Russia who would hardly use it for any commercial activity
- This is a low quality copy of the original image any paper copy of it would be of an inferior quality
- The photo is rare and has a historic value showing together the father of Soviet Fusion bomb and the father of Soviet Fission Bomb
- Both Sakharov and Kurchatov are dead thus a free substitution image is impossible
