1953 World Sportscar Championship season

The 1953 World Sportscar Championship season was the first year of the FIA World Sportscar Championship. It was a series for sportscars that ran in many worldwide endurance events. It ran from March 8, 1953 to November 23, 1953, comprised of 7 races.
