User talk:194.80.32.11

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Note to admins and vandalism reporters: A system administrator at Lancaster University said that they will examine logs (their servers send XFF info) to find vandals. The Head of User Services has directly talked to some of the identified vandals, and they have promised not to vandalise Wikipedia anymore.

In addition to any vandalism warnings or blocks, please send an email to abuse AT lancaster.ac.uk (with "Wikipedia vandalism" as the subject) with the diff and they will find and discipline the individual. If you do not want to do this yourself, just ask me and I'll be happy to do it instead.

I can say from personal experience that taking the extra few seconds to do this will make a difference. Thanks, Deathphoenix ʕ 16:38, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Attention:

This IP address, 194.80.32.11, is registered to Lancaster University and may be shared by multiple users. Comments left on this page may be received by other users of this IP and appear to be irrelevant. Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking.

If you are an unregistered user operating from this address, note that this need not necessarily be the IP address of your machine. In many cases, it turns out to be the IP address of a proxy server that communicates between your browser and the Wikimedia servers. Such proxies are shared among a huge number of users compared to the number of persons using your particular machine. If you are frustrated by irrelevant comments appearing here, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself.

However, you might still be unable to edit Wikipedia if the IP you are using is blocked due to a MediaWiki "feature". In such a case you could request to be unblocked.

In the event of vandalism from this address, efforts will be made to contact Lancaster University to report network abuse.

Your recent contribution to Google Calendar is vandalism. Further contributions in this manner will result in loss of editing privileges. You have been warned.

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thank you. --TeaDrinker 16:10, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Please do not remove warnings from your talk page or replace them with offensive content. Blanking your talk page will not remove the warnings from the page history. If you continue to blank your talk page, you will lose your privilege of editing your talk page. Thanks. -- 9cds(talk) 16:18, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --TeaDrinker 16:20, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. Please note that page blanking, addition of random text or spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, and repeated and blatant violation of WP:NPOV are considered vandalism. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires. - Dakota ~ 16:30, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Please read WP:OWN. None of this is yours, or mine. RadioKirk talk to me 16:36, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

You have been blocked in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating policy against persistent vandalism. To contest this block, please reply here on your talk page by adding the text {{unblock}} along with the reason you believe the block is unjustified, or email the blocking administrator or any administrator from this list.

Note to sysops: Unblocking yourself should almost never be done. If you disagree with the block, contact another administrator.

Please do not update how many times Nlu's user page has been vandalized or you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. ForestH2

Is or is this not the most harmless "vandalism"? Call it art! Your reaction is over the top!

What do you mean look at the change? When someone is on a wikibreak they can return Wikipedia whenever. ForestH2

Well then remove the wikibreak banner - or do you want me to?

Let's closed the subject right now. You should create an account. The wikibreak banner stays there. During a wikibreak an editor can return, and start editing without taking it off. It's not O.K to fool around on a user's page updating the vandalism account. ForestH2

if you are not on a wikibreak, REMOVE THE BANNER. And would someone unblock me?

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may do so after the block expires.

RexNL 22:17, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

No, nobody's going to unblock you. You paid the price. After your block expires you can edit again. If someone is on a wikibreak they can check in every few hours and write a couple of messages. ForestH2

Just to be clear regarding this edit, it is considered very bad practice to edit someone elses user page (particularly to remove content as you did then). ForestH2 is within his rights to include whatever messages he chooses (particularly, in this case, if he is likely to take longer than normal to reply to messages) UkPaolo/talk 16:11, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
