[edit] Linkspam

Please stop adding the link for Defcon Airsoft to the Airsoft article. Other than violating Wikipedia's policy on spam, it also isn't even a relelant link since the site isn't even up and running yet. If you would like to put any more external links up, please consult Talk:Airsoft and find a consensus over whether a link should be added. Thanks. --UNHchabo 04:40, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Excuse me?

Who are you to say I cannot put my link up on the Airsoft section. You don't own it. Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia to all, I would understand if I was a commercial website, but i'm not. The website is still in progress, and I need people to contribute to it to help get it off the ground. Power hungry brat teenagers like you make me feel sick.

Get over yourself.

I do not claim to have ownership of the article. I ask again. Look at the talk page for the airsoft article, as well as the history page. At one point there were a whole slew of external links, most of which were irrelevant. Many editors went through and trimmed that list down to just a few, so that only the most relevant links were present. It was decided by consensus which external links should remain up; among these are the most prominent communities within airsoft, usually with thousands of members. If you think that your site should be listed, then feel free to talk it out with the other editors in the talk page. If you're looking to advertise for people to come to your site (even though it's non-commercial), that's still spam, and there are plenty of other places you can advertise, such as the major airsoft communities that are listed in the external links section. --UNHchabo 01:26, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
On a side note, your attitude is very civil, I appreciate it. Thank you for treating me with so much respect. --UNHchabo 01:26, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Well I apologise for my irrational response. It's just i've had these problems in the past and it seems difficult sometimes to get any help. I only re-introduced the page to gain more UK support for Airsoft as most of the major sites, apart from Arnies Airsoft, rarely get updated anymore. It seems with the VCR bill around the corner, people are jumping from a sinking ship. Again, I apologise, I don't know how wikipedia works and perhaps did not follow the correct protocol. --4dEFCON
