[edit] Tenses

User Devoxo has changed past tenses to the present (some present tense was already in the list of events), saying that by that change the tenses are corrected. Is there a Wikipedia paradigm showing whether using a present tense for past events is encouraged? I have no axe to grind but find the effect to be somewhat dramatic.--SilasW 15:48, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
