Collecting comics related images published with a cover date in the 1940s or released during the same period. As much as possible, the images are sorted by year.

The images within this category are sorted as follows:
- Comics images, alphabetic by series title
- Series are then sorted by issue number with in the series
- Issue images are presented as cover as published, if present, followed by art only and/or individual panels or pages
- Spinoff media, alphabeticaly by type, which include
- film — Includes both theatrical release or for direct to video/dvd distribution. Also includes add colateral. Sorted alphabetically, but not separated by "live action" and "animation".
- games — Includes board, card, and "pen and paper" roleplaying games.
- radio — Mostly limited to ad colateral. Sorted alphabetically.
- rides — Sorted alphabetically.
- television — Includes both series and made for television movies. Also includes ad colateral. Sorted alphabetically, but not separated by "live action" and "animation".
- Images from specific episodes are sorted by production number, if available. Images where the production number is un known, or inappropriate sort after these.
- toys
- vidoe games - Includes consol, PC, and arcade games. Also includes ad colateral and packaging.
