The 1946 NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament was held in March at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. The 9th Annual NAIA basketball tournament featured 32 teams playing in a single-elimination format [1]. The championship game was won by Southern Illinois University when the Salukis defeated the Indiana State University Sycamores 49-40.
