The 1941 edition to the Sugar Bowl featured the fourth ranked Tennessee Volunteers and the fifth ranked Boston College Eagles, both with records of 10-0.
Tennessee took a 7-0 lead on a 4 yard touchdown run by Thompson in the first quarter. After a scoreless second quarter, Boston College scored on a 13 yard touchdown run from Connally. Tennessee answered with a 2 yard touchdown run from Warren giving Tennessee a 13-7 lead. Boston College scored on a 1 yard rushing touchdown from Michael Holovak tieing the game at 13. In the fourth quarter, Boston College's O'Rourke scored on a 24 yard touchdown run giving the Eagles a 19-13 win.
