The National League was formed in 1932 combining teams from the Northern League and Southern League. Wembley Lions won the inaugural title. Lea Bridge Saints changed name twice during the season to Southampton Saints and then Clapton Saints. Wal Phillips of Stamford Bridge finished with the highest average.
