The 1930 Giro d'Italia was held from May 17 to June 8, 1930. It was won by the Italian Luigi Marchisio.
This 20th edition covered 3,907 km at an average speed of 26.88 km/h, for a total of 15 stages.
After the fourth victory (third in a row) of Alfredo Binda in the 1929 edition, organizers paid him 22,500 liras, a sum higher than that for the overall winner, to not take part to the 1930 Giro. This edition was the first to have some stages in Sicily.
