From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Attention:

This IP address, 192.94.94.106, is registered to Texas Instruments, and may be shared by multiple users. In the case of organizations using proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another and a block shared by many. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism, in which case, please see here.

If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of severe vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be forwarded to your network administrator for further investigation.

Hello! Welcome to Wikipedia! Please can you get a user account (see the link at top right of the page), so other users can know who you are? -- The Anome 08:23, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Unblock Request

<<unblock|The administrator Voice_of_All has not responded to my questions on why the block was put in place since August and only continues to remove the question from his talk page. This IP address is proxy address of several hundred employees in Texas Instrument's DSP, Ethics, and Educational & Productivity divsions, all of which have valuable content to contribute, some of which they may want to only share anonymously. --ZacBowling 16:17, 2 November 2006 (UTC)>>

Since the block expires tomorrow, anyway, I went ahead and lifted it, per the assumption of good faith. Luna Santin 20:44, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
I archived a question along with other things, I did not "continue to remove" it. Nothing but vandalism came from that range, the block would have already been half over, and "You blocked our Texas Instruments proxy IP ranges as if we vandels" is not a good way to remedy that. I've been on a break from admin things for several days, and cannot unblock anyone for now anyway. Nevertheless, there is not much to loose unblocking, as one can always re-block, so I have no problem with that.Voice-of-All 01:30, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bblogspot\.com' (link(s): http://sachinb.blogspot.com/2008/01/evil-side-of-guanajuato.html http://sachinb.blogspot.com/2008/01/san-miguel-de-allende.html http://sachinb.blogspot.com/2008/01/guanajuato-prettiest-city.html) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
