Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. [edit] Your edits to Lou Pearlman

I appreciate your desire to list all of the man's crimes, but please remember Wikipedia:Undue Weight. We don't need to give exhaustive coverage. Pearlman is a conman, and a large-scale conman, and is morally contemptible and will spend the rest of his life in prison, but we don't need to give every condemnation of his conduct. Also, please do remember citations for some of the material you've added, and try to hold to WP:NPOV a bit more tightly. Michaelbusch 20:07, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

I didn't add to his list of crimes, I added a reference that spoke about the extent and significance of scandal. I was extremely careful to keep NPOV. I don't believe there was undue weight placed on such an extensive crime. I believe this is in keeping with the Wikipedia policy of establishing notability and WP:NPOV. I added citations for the alias I and another editor added. I seriously suggest that you stop just removing stuff you don't like, or you don't think is well cited. I think you are bordering on vandalism. You should ask editors for clarification or citations, or have a conversation without automatically deleting stuff, if they don'tr respond then deletion is in order.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.223.243.6 (talkcontribs)

Per WP:CITE, uncited and potentially contentious material may be removed without consultation. Thank you for adding the references. And please do remember to sign your talk posts. Michaelbusch 20:19, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Note: I approve heartily of information regarding Pearlman's crimes and scandals, but we need to apply WP:CITE and WP:NPOV even more carefully than usual here. And please don't make false accusations of vandalism. That is a breach of Wikipedia:Etiquette. Michaelbusch 20:28, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
I don't believe my accusation was false because I said that I considered such deletions vandalism. Furthermore I can find no reference to Wikipedia:Etiquette about accusations of vandalism, if you have one let me know. the original material you deleted was cited and complied with WP:CITE.
Wikipedia:Etiquette does lists suggested steps when you believe something is not written in NPOV:
1. Inquire politely on the article's talk page about aspects of the article you consider non-NPOV (unless they are really egregious), and suggest replacements.
2. If no reply comes, make the substitutions. (Use your watchlist to keep track of what you want to do.)
3. If a reply comes, try to agree about the wording to be used.
I would submit that you should carefully read the Wikipedia policies you are citing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.223.243.6 (talkcontribs)

Again: sign your posts. All it takes is four tildes: ~~~~. I have read the policies. Under Wikipedia:Etiquette, see Wikipedia:Assume good faith. Michaelbusch 21:05, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
