- Fiddlin' John Carson's record, ("Little Old Log Cabin In the Lane"/"The Old Hen Cackled and the Rooster's Going to Crow"), became the first released country music recording on July 13, 1923. Eck Robertson's ("Sally Gooden"/"Ragtime Annie") was released shortly afterwards.
