This article appears to be rather confused and half written. It relates to 1901 and yet discusses things like political events of 2005. Much of it is very half written. It should not be relied on at all.

That's true. An editor created all but the most recent of the 19xx in New Zealand articles from a template and is slowly bringing them up to standard.-gadfium 04:49, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
