18 de Julio Avenue

18 de Julio is the most important avenue in Montevideo, Uruguay. It is named after the date the first Constitution of Uruguay was written: July 18, 1830.
It goes across downtown Montevideo and it's considered its most important avenue (although not its widest).

The main landmarks across this avenue are:
- Artigas Mausoleum, located at the beginning of the avenue in Plaza Independencia
- Fabini Square
- Cagancha Square
- City Hall of Montevideo
- Obelisk of Montevideo, located at the end of the avenue when it meets Artigas Boulevard.
