The 1891 Atlantic hurricane season officially began on June 1, 1891, and lasted until November 30, 1891. These dates conventionally delimit the period of each year when most tropical cyclones form in the Atlantic basin.
The season had 10 tropical storms, 7 of which became hurricanes. However, due to scarce technology and the fact that only storms that affected land or ships were recorded, the actual total could be higher.
