Image:1839 Lyman Home.JPG

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This was the home of Reverend Orange Lyman, constructed in 1839 and the oldest known home in Downers Grove. It was rumored to be a stop on the underground railroad. The home was almost the victim of a teardown in 2004. I took this photo in April 2004 when the teardown problem was at its peak.
