  • 25 June - The Royal Dublin Society (usually known as simply the RDS), or Cumann Ríoga Bhaile Atha Cliath (CRBAC) in Irish, was founded to "to promote and develop agriculture, arts, industry, and science in Ireland".[1] The society's name is synonymous with its main premises in Ballsbridge in Dublin.
