[edit] Agrawal
Not every statement needs to be sourced, but any content that is disputed needs to be reliably sourced. You claim that the Agrawals are a "warrior community", and that they follow Sikhism. Since other editors dispute the accuracy of these statements, they need to be sourced. Agrawals claim descent from a legendary warrior community, but they are a trader community. Similarly, none of the references mention that Agrawals are Sikhs. "Powerful" is point-of-view, and should be avoided per neutral point of view policy of Wikipedia. The addition about Lala Lajpat Rai being Punjab Kesari is not relevant to the article on Agrawals.
Your changes to Lala Lajpat Rai were also inaccurate -- you claimed that he embraced Sikhism and Islam. In fact, he was a hardcore Hindu nationalist, and a follower of Arya Samaj. If you think Wikipedia is unreliable, you can check this with Encyclopedia Britannica, which is widely regarded as one of the most authoritative references ever. The Britannica article on Lala Lajpat Rai describes him as a leader of the "Hindu supremacy movement". He also wrote The United States of America: A Hindu's Impression.
So, please back up your edits with some reliable references, instead of accusing others of vandalism. utcursch | talk 12:55, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- Lala Lajpat Rai was an Arya Samaji Hindu. His grandfather was a Jain, but his father studied at a madarsa, and is said to have married a Sikh woman who followed Hinduism after marriage. Lajpat Rai became a Arya Samaji and as an Arya Samaji he was involved in Politics.
