17-dimethylaminoethylamino-17-demethoxygeldanamycin (17-dy-MEH-thul-uh-MEE-noh-EH-thul-uh-MEE-noh-17-dee-meh-THOK-see-gel-DAN-uh-MY-sin) is a substance being studied for the possibilty of treating cancer. It belongs to the pharmaceutical family of geldanamycin analogs, which is an antibiotic drug.
