Loren, thanks for finally taking the time to respond. Let's clarify the issue: 1. I have spent a lot of time in Afghanistan, and in Oruzgan province in particular. As you can see from this and other webpages, where I have been one of the key contributors with large amounts of information, it should be clear that I am something of an authority on this topic.
2. The borders of Oruzgan province are clear and defined. The map on this webpage does not accurately reflect those borders. This is simply true and is not subject to "interpretation" or "analysis". I would encourage you to do a bit of research yourself if you're not convinced.
3. The map on this page inaccurately includes a district (Nesh) that is not part of Oruzgan, while failing to include a district (Gizab) that is. This is roughly like showing a map of the United States that shows Ontario as part of the U.S. but does not include California. It's simply inaccurate and unworthy of this website and needs to be corrected.
4. In good faith, I have repeatedly tried to correct the inaccurate information on this website, but for some inexplicable reason, you insist on retaining it. Your last comment is simply that my corrections and insistence on accuracy are "unconstructive".
Loren, I'm sure you're not a Luddite, so I just don't get why you refuse to correct something that's false. Please explain your motives. If you are unable to do so, I would request that you pass this case to someone else. I am not convinced you are the proper person to responsibly edit this webpage.
thanks, Richard
