1685 Toro is an asteroid discovered by Carl A. Wirtanen in 1948. It orbits the Sun in an 8:5 resonance with Earth, and a 13:5 resonance with Venus.

It was one of the first Apollo asteroids to be discovered. It is named after the maiden name of Samuel Herrick's wife.
