15 Hours on a September Thursday is a demo by the Matthew Good Band recorded and released in 1994. The album was self-released on cassette, and was credited to the Matthew Good Band. However, the lineup of the band differed from that of its best-known period. The title refers to the date and amount of time spent recording the demo. These recordings would later become part of a compilation called "History Teacher," that was released illegally in an attempt to capitalize on the newfound success of the Matthew Good Band in the mid-1990s.
