[edit] Please do not vandalise Wikipedia
156.63.87.28 (talk • contribs • page moves • block • block log)
Please stop vandalizing pages. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Dan100 (Talk) 14:36, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
Good, you're on the vandalism page.--TheDoctor10 (talk|email) 13:57, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- Being on the vandalism page means that when an administrator looks at it, you will be blocked immediately. I imagain the block will be 24hrs, but if you continue to vandalise despite having been reported, it will, no doubt, be for longer.--TheDoctor10 (talk|email) 14:00, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

- You've been blocked for 24 hours from editing Wikipedia. If you wish to edit Wikipedia after the block, please contribute positively. --Gurubrahma 14:08, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
FYI, trying to change the password to my account is not causing me any trouble, since the old one still works. Feel free to waste more of your time that way.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 14:45, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Password stuff
Is there any good reason why I have just received 3 copies of an email claiming the following?
Someone (probably you, from IP address 156.63.87.28) requested that we send you a new Wikipedia login password for en.wikipedia.org.
For the record, I can state categorically that I have not myself requested a new password, and my (fixed) IP does not match that shown.
…
I tell a lie…I have now received 21 copies of this email, each with a different temporary password. What is going on? HTH HAND —Phil | Talk 14:46, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've gotten 61 copies, all coming from this IP address. It's safe just to ignore them though, some user's just trying to be disruptive. Your old password still works too (at least mine did). Canderson7 (talk) 14:53, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
You've been blocked indefinetely, for your childish behaviour and endless vandalism edits. You bring Ohio a bad name. -- user:zanimum
Thank you for bringing me back for one more day with your 175 requests to change my password. My old password still works no matter how many times you do this. Hope you'll find better things to do soon, probably contributing to an article or two. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. -- PFHLai 15:46, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
Add me to the list of accounts this person attempted to hack. Hall Monitor 17:31, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- And me. I haven't explored in detail exactly how many times this person tried, but my spamtrap currently has 768 messages in it. (And considering that I last checked that account just over 10 hours ago, it would be surprising enough to have five or six.) Which I don't particularly understand, since I wasn't at all involved in this mess and can't find any evidence that this person and I have even edited the same article at any point. Bearcat 18:00, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- Nine more this afternoon. And I'm getting sick and tired of this. I didn't do anything to you, Mr. Anonymous, so quit it. Bearcat 00:16, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
I've got 57 requests from this guy. Luigi30 (Ταλκ) 19:56, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- Excuse me, but if you are talking about me, CagedInsomniak (AKA:Insomniak), I have not emailed a thing to any of you. And though I'm not an administrator, I have reported vandalism by Curps for excessive reverts because he has reverted a banning time every hour to two hours ahead for three weeks. --4.252.64.77 00:15, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Request from one of the many users of 156.63.87.28
If I may request to only allow users from this IP address to view this web site in read-only. Reason being, that this IP address is a network ranging from many schools, from elementary to high school. I for one am a high school student who searches stuff up on Wikipedia regularly for information. Please block any further edits from this IP, I do not want to suffer not being able to use Wikipedia because some idiot thought it would be funny to change some articles.

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. ATTENTION ADMINISTRATORS: Please unblock this IP as it is my school's IP. Thousands of students should not have to be banned just because of some ingorant people who think it is funny to vandalize these pages. Take this into consideration. —Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs)
- Thousands of students can continue to read Wikipedia, as usual. Those few who choose to vandalise are the ones being deprived. Does your school have an effective IT policy / management that can affect this behaviour? Otherwise, Wikipedia must take steps to defend itself against your colleagues. Have you considered taking out a personal account to continue updating? If the vandalism continues, this may be your only way to update. Remember to logout when leaving, otherwise some of your colleagues may use your account to implicate you! Ian Cairns 15:20, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
