[edit] ARGH
Why would it matter that Rush is a feautured article? The musical infobox template shows both ways and I know line break were used in the past and they were in effect when the armistice happened and no one messed with that until recently. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 17:17, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- I demand that you change it back, not only because of the armistice, but under the fact that many featured articles have line breaks! Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 17:22, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- If both formats are fine, there's no reason to change to the line break one. -Fnlayson (talk) 17:25, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

- Feature articles are precious. The regular editors (the one's that got the article featured in the first place.... including several admins) have been questioned as to what genres are consensus choice and which layout they want to see the choices in. The article format matches the format of every related article. It's all about consistency. When an article is featured all edits needs to be proposed, discussed (re-discussed if need be) before any changes are done to it. Remember Iron Maiden used to be a featured article. But too many cooks and too many crufters spoiled it and its FA was taken away from it. Do not jeopardize the FA status of the Rush page. A lot of editors went to great strides to get it to featured status. Do not spoil their work. 156.34.219.91 (talk) 17:30, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Led Zeppelin
I don't really know that much about image licenses etc., but can't we use things like this in articles about bands that split decades ago? Not necessarily LZ... there's already some free images of them, but for other bands like that (such as T.Rex (band)). Funeral 03:43, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- No, I haven't had the chance to - I've been on and off Wiki all day. I'll make sure I get round to it, though. Funeral 04:03, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry but I've not read the Taylor article yet, I'll be on-and-off Wiki for the next few weeks... just watching a few pages. Btw, if you're up for it, the Jason Becker article could do with a clean-up... nothing big, though - just little things like "[...] is an example of his mastery of sweep-picking" and "he would've eventually reached a technical level of guitar, which would later lead him to being the best guitar player of all time". Funeral 23:22, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Cheers, and yeah, you're right... apart from maybe Buckethead, I don't like shredders aren't as good as other guitarists in different styles, especially the Malmsteen type.. Btw, recommend me some bluesgrass please! :-) Funeral 23:42, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks for the Becker edit, and can you keep an eye on The Stooges, Navnlos is almost at the 3RR. I'm going to sleep now,
so I won't be able to watch it m'self.Funeral 00:14, 30 January 2008 (UTC) - Okay, maybe not. Thanks for the bluegrass! I'm gonna start with Tony Rice. :-D Funeral 00:16, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

What about the the Kentucky Colonels? Have you heard of them? I can't find any albums for the artists you mentioned? :-| Funeral 00:31, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- Nah, I just google for blogs to get music. I never understood torrents, and P2P is too slow - I used limewire for a bit, but I didn't like it. Funeral 00:44, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'll give it a shot. The thing a didn't like about limewire is that it's hard to find full albums - I hate having single songs on my iPod. And having mp3s of The Doors, The Band, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix playing Stairway to Heaven. :-P Funeral 00:54, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Bobby Orr
I undid the revision. If its worth noting that Eagleson "hid" the 18% offer, then its worth noting that he never really hid it. (not that I'm a fan of Eagleson, but he's a convenient scapegoat). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.124.48.158 (talk) 01:10, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Proto Metal
What is the prior AFD for Proto Metal? It must have had a different name. --W.marsh 00:59, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- It looks like the original page was Proto-metal. I found Traditional metal, which redirects to Classic metal... there was an AFD of traditional metal but not of proto-metal as far as I can tell. I think you'd be okay redirecting Proto Metal (the new article) to Heavy metal music. --W.marsh 01:36, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
No problem. These metal articles are confusing and often multiply... I think I'll protect the Proto Metal page and make sure it stays a redirect. --W.marsh 01:48, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

I wanna know why you keep taking off the band's logo. It is the official one, so it's needed so that way the users can know how it is. Please STOP taking it off please. --Rockk3r Talk to me 19:20, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Proper process
Please review WP:IFD for the proper process for nominating images and other media for removal from Wikipedia. Images should not be removed from articles directly without following due process, which usually involves giving the image uploader time to add use rationale information and licensing information. This is particularly vital for images posted prior to about a year ago when Wikipedia image rules regarding Fair Use were changed. I speak, for example, of the image at Bill Haley which you removed without following proper process; it is one of thousands of images at Wikipedia which are awaiting image-use updating due to being uploaded prior to the change of Wikipedia image use rules (in other words, it is, for now, grandfathered from being deleted outright without first notifying the original uploader - who happens to be me in the case of this image, but that's irrelevant - and giving the uploader at least 7 days to deal with it). Please note, however, that anonymous IPs generally are not allowed to make nominations, so I would encourage you to register with a username which will allow you to follow the IFD process more easily. 23skidoo (talk) 03:32, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orange Amps
I want to know why you won't let anyone change the "Notable Orange Users." Those that I listed were true orange users and I see no reason why they can't be listed. Talk to me
