I was born and raised in the San Francisco bay area. I remember watching the 10:00 o'clock news and the song that the late Al Ham wrote pretty much stuck in my mind. The song was used by various televison stations and the theme popped up in a web site called www.tulsatvmemories.com. Channel 8 which is an ABC network affiliate used this theme during the 1970's. I guess that when you grew up somewhere everything sticks to you from day one. I just wish they had VCR's back in 1971. If you like, you can contact KTVU and ask to speek to the station historian.
