[edit] Fan fiction section in Ranma articles

Go over to Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Anime_and_manga#Ranma_1.2F2_articles to understand why I removed the fanfic sections from character articles. They are fancruft that do not belong on a encyclopedia. Also see WP:FICT and WP:WAF to see guidelines for writing about fictional subjects. NeoChaosX [talk | contribs] 23:56, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Sorry. I wasn't aware of what the fanatics do; I'd suggest pointing them to the same articles I did. They too need to understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a fan site.
As far the idea of turning information about fan fic into trivia points, it still wouldn't belong on the articles. Unless such behavior has been written about and published in reliable sources, writing about the tendencies of a set of fans would consist of original research, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. Well, if some pairings was hinted at by the mangaka, I guess it would be acceptable to put in a trivia section (Just don't mention anything about the fan reaction to pairings). As far as those articles go, I'll take a look at those a little later (I'm typing this at school right now) to see what to do with them. NeoChaosX [talk | contribs] 19:26, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
