I am sorry but 40585 is not a number with the quoted property of 145. Actually the sum of the factorials of its digits is 40584. Almost but not equal. Actually, it is not possible for the sum to be an odd number if the digit 1 is not present in the number (2 is obviously the only exception to this requirement but 1 and 2 are trivial examples).
