1421 Esperanto (1936 FQ) is a Main-belt Asteroid discovered on March 18, 1936 by Vaisala, Y. at Turku. It is named after Esperanto, as the other asteroid 1462 Zamenhof has been named by the same person after L. L. Zamenhof, the creator of this language.
