School IP address Attention:

This host, donald.uscs.susx.ac.uk, is registered to University of Sussex, England and may be shared by multiple users of an educational institution. If the institution uses proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason a message intended for one person may be received by another. Similarly an innocent user may be blocked for another user's vandalism. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please read our advice on this situation.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block with the template {{schoolblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of persistent vandalism from this IP address, anonymous editing may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time. Abuse reports may also be forwarded to your school administration for investigation.
School staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.
If you wish to contribute to this encyclopedia, please create an account at home and log in with it here.

Due to persistent vandalism (see edit log), editing by anonymous users from your school, library or institution's IP address may be currently disabled. You continue to have full access to read the encyclopedia. If you are logged in but still unable to edit, please follow these instructions. To prevent abuse, account creation via this IP address is probably also disabled.

If editing is required for class projects, please have your teacher or network administrator contact us (with reference to this IP address) at unblock-en-l from an email address listed on your school's website. Alternatively, if you have no Internet access at home, you may email us using your school-issued email address, telling us your preferred username. An account will be created for you. Please check on this list that the username you choose has not already been taken.

Thank you. — —Vanderdeckenξφ 16:47, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] This is a proxy

Just so you may be aware, this is one of The University of Sussex's webcache proxies. This particular proxy appears to be mainly (if not solely) used by people from their personal machines while living in the University's campus accommodation. Although there has been some vandalism from this proxy in the distant past (over a year by the looks of it) we are actually a pretty well-behaved bunch on the whole. Please take this into account if there ever is a future incident of vandalism as many people view Wikipedia through this proxy and some (other than an isolated troublemaker) may like to make legitimate edits of their own. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.184.30.19 (talk) 16:57, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 139.184.30.19). Logging in does not require any personal details, and there are many other benefits for logging in.

When you edit pages:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such content or editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can click the edit this page tab above, type {{helpme}} in the edit box, and then click Save Page; an experienced Wikipedian will be around shortly to answer any questions you may have. Also feel free to ask a question on my talk page. I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. —Vanderdeckenξφ 16:47, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Warnings

[edit] Regarding edits made during December 2, 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. If this is an IP address, and it is shared by multiple users, ignore this warning if you did not make any unconstructive edits. snowolfD4( talk / @ ) 20:19, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from List of countries by date of independence. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Wafulz 02:47, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Thank you. -- zzuuzz(talk) 23:39, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] February 26

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our neutral point of view policy will not be tolerated. --Aude (talk) 22:22, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] April 2007

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Lysergic acid diethylamide, you will be blocked from editing. --JFreeman (talk) 17:55, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Intersexuality, you will be blocked from editing. semper fictilis 15:44, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

[edit] June 2007

Please do not add unhelpful and unconstructive content to Wikipedia, as you did to Sir John Lawes School. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. PGWG 16:56, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.

[edit] Your edit to Tiffin School

To avoid any wasted work, whilst the names of the houses and tie colours are just fine the Current Administration is transient and unencyclopaedic and will be removed. TerriersFan 21:44, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
