[edit] Emocore and Emo
WHY do you change the genre Emocore to Emo at the Jimmy Eat World page? emo and emocore are the same!
- That the two are essentially the same is irrelevant - the band was never popularly called "emocore". They were called "emo". Every available reliable source (e.g., AllMusic.com) refers to them as "emo". Plus, Wikipedia's article is called "Emo". Calling them "emocore" is unsourced, misleading, and completely unnecessary. -- ChrisB 16:33, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

An Admin even asked everyone to stop editing the article and talk it out.[7] Please refrain from editing the genres of articles, you are disrupting good faith.--JUDE talk 18:50, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

If you are wondering why you have been warned about this, it is because you removed three valid sets of references from the genre section in this diff.

- Also, I have to ask, why do you repeatedly change the genres in articles? You usually do this without gaining consensus. I checked your contributions and notcied that many of them had been reverted. Genre is a boring argument to have as it contains a vast amount of different styles. Lots of bands don't fit into one clear genre because music has to be continually reinvented or have different features in order to gain interest. Changing the genres in articles to ones that you agree with, is not the best way to go about things. If you have an interest in these bands, why not try to find more references for information? Edit wars over genres are simply counter productive.

[edit] Final Warning
This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Warning:, you will be blocked from editing. The genre dispute has been taken to the talk page, which you are aware of because you "participated" if you shall call it that. Please refrain from editing the genre in articles to match your personal opinion as you so often have done. [8]--JUDE talk 18:05, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
