Hey, I see that you've added a bunch of people to List of persons with autism spectrum disorders. , but you haven't, in some cases told us who suspects this, or shown us what the arguments or evidence for these persons' having autism might be.

Some you list, such as "Fr." Cornelius Horan (and why do you put his title in quotation marks? has he been defrocked?) and Adolf Hitler, don't seem to fit any classic autistic profile: autism is characterized by difficulties emotionally relating to other persons: Hitler while undeniably a loon, was also a persuasive speaker with a uncanny sense of how to work the emotions; to a large degree this accounts for his rise to power.

Horan, while he seems extremely preoccupied with his beliefs, also doesn't necessarily fit the autistic profile.

Could you please take some time from adding to the article to explain what evidence you have to list the persons you have added? Thanks. -- orthogonal 20:37, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)

By the way I’m in Dublin Ireland, I founded and run a social group for adults with Asperger Syndrome and autism, the only one of its kind in Ireland. I was diagnosed with AS in 2002. Since then I have meet about 50 people with AS and autism. My ex-girlfriend has AS too.

Firstly…I don’t believe Stephen Spielberg has AS. He was meant to direct the film Mozart and the Whale, a film about a couple with AS. He withdrew before filming started. I suspect this rumour was started by Spielberg P.R. company. Also, it is was claimed he was dxed as a child…rubbish, AS was only diagnosable since 1994 in the US, early 80’s in Briton and a bit earlier in Germany.

Adolph Hitler - Prof. Michael Fitzgerald in his book, “Autism and Creativity: Is There a Link Between Autism in Men and Exceptional Ability”, stated that Hitler was autistic. I also saw a documentary about Hitler, I agree with Prof. Fitzgerald.

Hitler exhibited the following autistic features. Need for routine, narrow obsession, interacted with children and dogs better then adult humans, emotional immaturity, inability to establish social realtions, one sided conversations and suppressed sexuality. Also most telling, a failed artist his paintings rarely depict people, they are austere painting of near empty streets and buildings, this is an insight to his autistic mind. It is likely that his high intelligence offset and masked much of his autism, he was thus an excellent orator.

Neil Young – Had epilepsy as a young man, a common association with ASD. He is fascinated by toy trains, he bought a company called Lionel Trains. His large train set accompanies him on some tours. In the early 70’s an girlfriend of his brought several people to his house to meet him, he was so shocked at seeing so many unfamiliar people he jumped out a first floor window and broke his leg. This from a review of his biography Shakey on Amazon...

“Shakey - is not only a detailed chronicle of the rock era told through the life of one very idiosyncratic, uncompromising artist, but a compelling human story as well. That of a loner for whom music was the only outlet, a driven yet tortured figure who learned to control epilepsy via "mind over matter."

Also…“His ranch in the hills south of San Francisco includes a 2,800-foot (850-meter) barn that is home to a set-up using 750 feet (230 meters) of track and enough outbuildings, mountains and twists and turns to make everybody whose mother threw away their trains from childhood weep.”

"Fr." Cornelius Horan. He is in the process of being defrocked. He was banned from a priest over ten years ago. He was the inspiration for a character in a well-known Irish comedy, Father Ted. I have known him by reputation for several years.

He was on the radio yesterday. He spoke in a monotone voice with a stutter. He is a fellow Irish man and attends a mental hospital every 3 month for depression due to social isolation. He describes himself as a loner. Others call him shy, eccentric and highly intelligent. He is obsessed with the bible, it is all he talks about. On the radio yesterday, he appeared unaware of other people feelings, poor theory of mind. It was explained to him that his actions in the Olympics caused others to feel embarrassed and angry but he did not understand…he quoted the bible in this defence.

Moby – A self described Nerd. Likes to talk Star Trek trivia in message boards. He suffered with debilitating panic attacks a few years ago. It would explain his celibacy and high moral values. He lives on his own in a NY apartment, his facial expressions are non-existent and he is verbally adroit, verbose. His interest is electronic music/technology much like Gary Numan, not in a band.

Morrissey – Loner, has a few friends he met in childhood, suppressed sexuality, obsessed with an obscure Northern England comedian. Once travelled 200 miles to talk to a person who knew about his favourite comedian. The person was in his own words, was interrogated by Morrissey.

A review of his biography – “Simpson ploughs an absorbing narrative through Morrissey's many obsessions, from Sandie Shaw, Coronation Street and James Dean to his literary idols Oscar Wilde and Shelagh Delaney (whose play A Taste of Honey he brazenly plagiarised). While his early passions reveal a literary loner with a penchant for Little England and retro hairdos, later lyrical dalliances with young ruffians, rent boys and the Kray twins uncover the darker workings of the Morrissey psyche.”

Srinivasa Aiyangar Ramanujan and Eamon De Valera, both claimed by Prof. Fitzgerald to have had AS. I agree with Ramanujan, De Valera was likely a mild case only.

All the best, Diamond Dave

[edit] December 2006

You have just been caught vandalizing the entry on Newtowncunningham. I've reverted your edits, and note that your IP address traces to unix4.tcd.ie, a computer under the purview of Trinity College Dublin. Your interference with this encyclopedia and with other users' work constitutes flagrant misuse of this university's electronic resources. Unless you immediately cease and desist from your infantile behaviour, a letter of complaint (with detailed logfiles and proof of your vandalism) will be sent to your university.

If you again revert the merging and redirecting of Brian Jones Presents The Pipes of Pan at Joujouka‎, carried out after a merge discussion and clear consensus (with no dissenters), you will be blocked from editing for disruption. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 18:29, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our neutral point of view policy will not be tolerated. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 22:34, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Talk:Brian Jones Presents The Pipes of Pan at Jajouka. Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to John Farmer (1570-1605), was not constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Ryan Postlethwaite 17:50, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] September 2007

Please stop reverting the improvements to The Frames. It is now Wikipedia policy to integrate trivia sections into articles rather than leave a list at the end. By integrating, no information is lost, it's just elsewhere. Please don't do this, and if you must, don't just undo, since we lose intervening edits. It's poor form not to talk about this on the Talk:The Frames page, also. Joe Byrne -- Plé -- Contribs - :ga: - :fr: - - 16:22, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "Warning was given, Schuminweb blocked anyway. This is unfair. 15,000 people are blocked becuase of one persons obsession with this school"

Decline reason: "You have provided no reason to believe the anonymous vandalism has stopped. It is not the case that nobody at the school can edit; the block is anon-only. — Yamla (talk) 15:15, 25 January 2008 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.
