[edit] Vandalism in progress report concerning Hall Monitor
Hello 132.241.245.23. Your recent request for investigation into Hall Monitor's edits was closed today; I judged that he had had reasonable grounds in his reversions to the article in question. The discussion was archived and is quoted below for your convenience.
- Hall Monitor (talk • contribs • page moves • block user • block log) -- claims Health of Pope John Paul II was vandalized when it obviously never was and banned an anon for 12 weeks over it// 132.241.245.23 00:30, 8 March 2006 (UTC) 132.241.245.23 00:30, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Note: As this is the same user as 132.241.245.49 (talk • contribs • page moves • block user • block log), please take care to review the block log as well as their contributions. Hall Monitor 00:40, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Note: Blocking is one thing for Hall Monitor to vandalize pages and then claim the anon is a vandal is another. 132.241.245.23 00:46, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- I've found several suspicious edits from this IP: reversions between the two users on Lucille Ball[1], possible misinformation on Airplane![2] and on List of United States Presidential nicknames[3], subtle vandalism on Kalākaua[4] and Isaac Asimov[5], addition of irrelevant external links on Katherine Harris[6], false information on Elmo[7], removal of information on Ryan White[8], et cetera. Without delving into an exhaustingly comprehensive list of such edits, it seems clear to me that Hall Monitor had reasonable ground not to assume good faith on the edit in question, which was itself quite borderline. Being unaware of the entire edit history, I'm unable to say whether the block length was reasonable or not. However, such questions are outside the scope of Vandalism in progress and best placed on the Administrator's noticeboard (Incidents). This alert is now archived. // Pathoschild (admin / talk) 05:54, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
