[edit] TimeCube

Heh, it's funny, because after I finished that edit, I happened to be thinking to myself, "Hmmm, why does iconoclasm have such a bad rap anyhow..." ha ha ha, anyway, even still we need to be very careful what we say about living persons because of WP:BLP, so I think it is better to leave the characterization out unless there is a reliable 3rd party source. Even though those traits are not necessarily negative, saying that the person is a "known contrarian" in the same sentence as saying he invited a controversial figure to MIT, well, that's kindof implying something there, don't you agree? Granted, it's implying something I happen to think is fairly accurate (i.e. the fact that this TimeCube nut got invited to MIT doesn't give him any sort of credibility at all) but even still, we just need to be careful with that sort of thing.

I'm glad for the additional insight from an MIT alum! It helps to understand just what was up with that crackpot's visit. --Jaysweet (talk) 23:57, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
