[edit] Thanks

Thanks for your work on Category:Star Wars vehicles - but why the distinction between "starcraft", "spaceships" and "starfighters"? ··gracefool | 08:13, 20 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Okay, I've fixed it (removed the empty "starcraft" category). ··gracefool | 03:54, 21 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Olympic Games links

Hi there Anon IP 132.205.45.148,

Every Summer and Winter Olympic Games has a footer down the bottom, that looks like this:

Which as you can see, contains links to Summer Olympic Games, Winter Olympic Games, and all years for each summer and winter games. For this reason, links to years' games within the article itself are redundant.

It is still worth putting a link to the corresponding years Paralympic Games article in the See also section, as I notice you have been doing.

btw - great work on the specific items of history (particularly Canadian) on other Olympic articles!

By the way, if you register an account and log in, you will be able to attribute your edits to your own account, not an anonymous IP address as you are now.

[edit] List of numbers

Hi. I personally don't think your changes to the List of numbers article (adding powers of a thousands where there were powers of a million before) are adding anything useful to the article, and are serving to make it more confusing. I would rather have one or the other, but not both, and I think the powers of a million are easier to understand. I left a comment on the talk page, but I thought that an outright revert would be a bit harsh, so I'll give you an opportunity to comment before proceeding with the revert. See the article's talk page for discussion, or my talk page if you wish to talk with me specifically. --[[User:Ardonik|Ardonik(talk)]] 02:26, Sep 1, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Dis-ambiguation messages

FYI dis-ambiguation messages are supposed to be footers, not headers. 66.245.17.89 00:55, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Japanese

A table for Japanese has been previously suggested. It received an overwhelmingly negative response from Wikipedia_talk:Manual_of_Style_for_Japan-related_articles#Template_for_articles_Japanese_terms. You might want to refrain from using this template that you created because there is a chance that it might be deleted. —Tokek 22:47, 30 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] D'n'D

Because it isn't about Dungeons & Dragons

I agree with you, but most other people say you should wait until it has been deleted, and then creat a redirect. If you want to redirect again I won't revert it. ILovEPlankton 18:28, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AfD & RfA

What you suggest was precisely the content of AfD before the 19:29, 5 May 2006 deletion. I don't personally believe that cross-namespace redirects are as harmfule as some people pretend they are, but I don't think it is really an issue worth fighting over. I suggest you try to argue with Cyde, who deleted the redirect, if you think it is worth the hassle. Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 01:01, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Prod removal

Your reason for your recent removal of my prod on TWYM indicates to me that you might have been looking for the transwikied definition in Wiktionary's mainspace, instead of the Transwiki: pseudo-namespace, where meta dictates it should be copied. FYI, the transwikied definition is at wikt:Transwiki:TWYM, and I have re-added the prod. Hope that clears up any confusion that might have arisen. TheProject 01:32, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] PROPOSALS

[edit] Legend of Zelda Categories

Hi. I noticed that you have taken part in the recent discussion about the future of the Legend of Zelda categories. I am just leaving this note to let you know that Proposal 1 (merging all game sub-categories) has been successful, and I will be relisting it at CfD later today. Of the renaming proposals, only option 7 appears to have gained a consensus in support. However, I am going to leave that discussion open a few more days as we have had a related proposal (No. 11) that has not yet been discussed. Please use this time to consider whether you wish to support or oppose the new proposal, or in any way change your previous votes. I will be reassessing the situation at about 18:00, 6 July 2006 (UTC). Road Wizard 20:25, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Stormdrain

I moved Stormdrain to Stormdrain (band). The redirect did not work because they do not refer to the same subject. Thank.--John Lake 01:03, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re Transwiki:Musictionary:John, Elton/Albums/One Night Only

what is a transwiki, and what does it have to do in Wikipedia namespace? --Alvestrand 19:27, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Category:Places in Turkish-Occupied Cyprus

Thanks for moving the PROD of this category to a CfD. However, I was wonering if you'd consider a couple of suggestions:

  • Let the editor who made the propoal know it is being converted to an XfD, simply as a courtesy.
  • Include an edit summary indicating what was done, as suggested in WP:PROD and WP:EDIT#Introduction. Leaving an edit summary makes it more clear and less ambiguous what the intent of the edit is.

Again, thanks for rectifying my mistake. It's good to see the spirit of cooperation expressed so well.

[edit] Move request for Candidate planets

Re: your move request at Talk:Candidate planets, you also need to add an entry on the WP:RM page itself or it will likely never be closed. Let me know if you have questions. —Wknight94 (talk) 03:05, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Info note

A template you created, Template:Info note, has been marked for deletion as a deprecated and orphaned template. If, after 14 days, there has been no objection, the template will be deleted. If you wish to object to its deletion, please list your objection here and feel free to remove the {{deprecated}} tag from the template. If you feel the deletion is appropriate, no further action is necessary. Thanks for your attention. --MZMcBride 18:57, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
