This host, blv-proxy-08.boeing.com, is registered to The Boeing Company, and may be shared by multiple users. If the organization uses proxy servers or firewalls, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another and a block may be shared by many. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please see here.

If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user. Alternatively, you can list the IP at Wikipedia:WikiProject on XFFs.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Thank you for experimenting with the page Witzelsucht on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Please explain why you stated my edit to Six Flags was vandalism (I added that the Columbus Zoo was purchasing Wyandot Lake and not the link title to example.com which I agree was vandalism). This is a factual piece of information that is referenced on both the Wyandot Lake and Columbus Zoo articles. Thanks Dblevins2 21:43, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

Check the version history of the article. The (hugely obvious) vandalism was introduced in the 19:04 edit by 88.104.73.24. I accidentally reverted to the edit before yours because my mouse hand was a little too quick on the draw and selected the edit by YurikBot instead of yours; rather than performing another reversion after that, I left it alone. Feel free to add your link back--I'm sure it was a very nice link and I wouldn't want it to feel unwanted.

Thanks for the explantion. I agree 100% that the edit that you mentioned was vandalism. I just wanted to make sure I was okay to restore my edit without crossing any Wikipedia policies. Dblevins2 21:56, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

I stand corrected! - good of you to provide the reference. Wombatcat 02:45, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Greatwalk 08:22, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia articles, such as those you made to Hannibal, Ohio, even if your ultimate intention is to fix them. Such edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Nyttend 19:51, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.

Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Winthrop, Washington, you will be blocked from editing. Hersfold (t/a/c) 16:56, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Nerd Pride Day, are considered vandalism and immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. - Mdsummermsw (talk) 17:07, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, the recent edit you made to Dreams from My Father has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Sam Korn (smoddy) 15:57, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Dreams From My Father. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. · jersyko talk 21:43, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
