Please do not replace Wikipedia pages or sections with blank content. It is considered vandalism. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. If this is an IP address, and it is shared by multiple users, ignore this warning if you did not make any unconstructive edits. HornandsoccerTalk 22:31, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to blank out (or delete portions of) page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Talk:JE Pitts, you will be blocked from editing. Xiahou 22:45, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Dear Roving Band of Wikipedia Naysayers: I was instructed to compose a simple bio page on Wikipedia to try and satisfy the need for basic information about my life and career. I am constantly contacted by critics and journalists who want information about me and was directed to Wikipedia to try and help them with the basic outline that usually leads to a longer interview or article. So I composed a simple article and now it is supposed to be deleted. A classic case of "I don't know this person, so just delete it". Just because you don't know my work, doesn't mean a lot of other people in the world don't. But it doesn't really matter to me. So I will take care of that for the uninformed and late-to-the-party group that have proposed deletion, and I will recommend to every person I know that they use any other encyclopedia except Wikipedia. When I first noticed all the bad press that Wikipedia gets in the media, I thought it was probably unfair, but now I completely understand. Signed- J. E. Pitts
[edit] Please sign posts
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Terence7 01:29, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] No personal attacks
With regards to your comments on User talk:Terence7: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Terence7 23:12, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] No snap judgement edits
With regards to your comments concerning my comments, I wouldn't call stating the truth a "personal attack". I WOULD call a personal attack when you go around without abandon and remove a person's listing from each Wikipedia page just for kicks. Can I help it if you don't know enough about art OR writing to make sensible edit decisions? No. But I can help it if you start attacking my listings. So I've forwarded a complaint to the Wikipedia resolution center about your malacious edits. I hope they contact you real soon. (130.74.112.227 23:23, 25 April 2007 (UTC))
- I am not removing your name "just for kicks." I am removing it because, on the Wikipedia definition of notability, you do not qualify as a notable creative professional. I thought this was established the last time your autobiographical article (that you created for yourself) was deleted. Believe it or not, I am not doing this just to make you mad — I am doing it because I am trying to adhere to the established Wikipedia guidelines. Unfortunately for you, I am not one to back down simply because you are really determined to promote yourself through Wikipedia. I think your use of the word "listings" is telling — Wikipedia isn't a place for everyone to be listed. There are established principles meant to govern what is included here.
- I would also point out that you are again attacking me personally by saying that I "don't know enough about art OR writing to make sensible edit decisions." How do you know that?
- I would welcome the involvement of others in this matter. Terence7 23:31, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
See my latest comment to you. Anyone can hid behind the tag "Terence7". But when I learned I was to sign my posts, I started doing so, with my real name. Would you like to reveal yourself to me in an email so we can see who knows what? My email addresses are: jepitts@olemiss.edu jepitts1@hotmail.com jepitts@voxjournal.com jepitts@gmail.com Then we can have a real debate.
