12th Manitoba Dragoons

12th Manitoba Dragoons was an armoured regiment of the Canadian Army and Canadian Forces.
The 12th Manitoba Dragoons was formed in 1893, but disbanded and re-ogranized several times:
- 1901 disbanded and redesignated as D Squadron, Canadian Mounted Rifles
- 1903 12th Manitoba Dragoons formed
- 1912 elements separated to form 32nd Light Horse
- 1921 reorganised as 6th Battalion CEF and 32nd Battalion CEF
- 1935 absorbed The Border Horse
- 1941 reorganised for war
- 1942 redesignated as 18th (Manitoba) Armoured Car Regiment
- 1946 disbanded and became 12th (Reserve) Manitoba Dragoons in Reserve Army
- 1946 reconstituted as 18th Armoured Car Regiment (12th Dragoons)
- 1949 renamed 12th Manitoba Dragoons (18th Armoured Car Regiment)
- 1954 renamed 12th Manitoba Dragoons (18th Armoured Regiment)
- 1958 renamed 12th Manitoba Dragoons
- 1964 disbanded
The Dragoons served mostly during World War II from 1941 to 1946.
