Description

Two unidentified officers standing beside an anti aircraft gun at the top of a valley near Shrapnel Gully, Anzac on the Gallipoli Peninsula. The QF 12 pounder 12 cwt gun is mounted on a carriage garrison mount.
Comment : This example lacks the spring recuperator usually fitted above the barrel when used as an anti-aircraft gun.
The gun arrived at Anzac shortly after 9 September 1915 after a request for anti-aircraft guns.
