[edit] Bookcase Clues

In "Adventure Mouse" if you look at the bookcase (where Shark is talking to the Eye) you can see that there are words spelled out. So far I've been able to make out "key" and "roostre knows." Has anyone else noticed this? Is there anything more?

I had also noticed this and spent a deal of time looking at this, but couldn't make out much more then what you saw. It appears to be a sort of intentional red herring. Noogenesis (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 09:31, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Other music within the series

In the episodes "Spider" and "Rememorized" (I think those are the ones) Fitz and Skillet break into a music store and play a heavy metal song on the equipment inside the store. I'm assuming 9 Pound Hammer recorded the guitar and drum parts for that, but I was looking to get confirmation of this and possibly more info about that song. Can anyone help in any way? --- Xephyrwing 02:53, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Actually, I would assume those songs are done by Matt Maiellaro, given his proclivity for playing the electric guitar. Cornprone 12:21, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

The song is a redone version of F-Off by the M-F-Rs.

[edit] Mouse's Name

article has been stubified, and the name of "12 oz. Mouse" has been corrected (according to the [adult swim] "bumps" his name is Fitzgerald Mouse)

The Adult Swim website states his name is actually Mouse Fitzgerald but he generally seems to go by "Fitz". No verification on Shark being named "Ol'Kentucky", or of any deal with a "sea witch".

[edit] Possible POV?

a co-creator of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Adult Swim's most popular original show.

I am removing the part regarding it being "the most popular original show" as it has not proven to dominate ratings every time it airs and while it is popular, there is no real way to verify that it is the most popular. TheMonkofDestiny 12:04, 1 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Skillet is a chinchilla

http://www.adultswim.com/shows/12ozmouse/

Not sure who changed it back to "kangaroo rat", but I'm kind of a n00b here. But yeah, I think Skillet is a chinchilla, if Adult Swim's website is any indication.

Hilarious show, by the way ...

Yes, sorry I did that. But you're right, Adult Swim verifies Skillet's species as being chinchilla. It's just that he looks so much like a kangaroo rat.

He is a squirrel. They tell you in an episode. He doesnt look like a squirrel but they say he's a squirrel.

I'm pretty sure you're thinking of Fitz saying he was a squirrel in the second episode, but he also says Skillet's name is "Night Moves". Fitz isn't the best source of information.
Actually, after viewing the marathon from New Years, I think he is a squirrel. Not only does Fitz refers to him as a squirrel on several occasions, and Rhoda says that the New Guy has a thing for squirrels. I think that he is officially a squirrel in the 12 oz. Mouse universe, something completely different from what the picture actually is, just another quirk in the series.
The Adult swim site says that he's a chinchilla (see the characters page[1]). I think it may be a sort of joke that the characters refer to him as a squirrel when he's obviously not. You never can tell with 12 oz Mouse. WMarsh 21:14, 4 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Marxist?

Any chance that reasons could be cited (behind some sort of spoiler warning?) as to why people think Mouse is 3 years old, immortal, and a Marxist? These tantalizing assertions make me very curious, but I don't have the time to frequent any Adult Swim message boards. Where do they come from?

I've heard the claim that Fitz is a Marxist is based on an inteview with Matt Mallaro regarding his work on Aqua Teen Hunger Force in which he claimed to have been a Marxist at one point in his teen years. This along with various other things Fitz has said and done during the series, mostly his attitude toward work and stealing, have some people calling him a Marxist. I've never seen the interview so it might not be true.

[edit] Fitz

They say Fitz is a Marxist cause Matt Maiellaro said he used to be a Marxist on one of the Aqua Teen DVD commentaries. Because Fitz is always crashing his plane, getting hit by cars/meteors, and getting shot or blowing up some people on the AS website were saying he can't be killed and that's why he's not afraid to mess with people.

There are lots of crazy ideas getting around about Mouse. Some guys say he is a spy, Skillet is his brother/son, and that he is like two years old. Most of this stuff is just rumors that come from the Adult Swim websites. Don't put any of them in the article unless they have proof.

[edit] Eye

I noticed that the list of characters does not have Eye at all. I also believe that there is a typo in the description of the last episode, where it is claimed that Fitz and Skillet see Fitz, Rostre, Police man and Golden Joe. That should probably be Eye, not Fitz.

Added Eye back in Characters section from an older version. Cornprone 12:20, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Captions

What's with the dopey captions?
What ISN'T with the dopey captions, am I right?

Um, no. :P Maybe they're all quotes from characters, the description of Golden Joe is taken directly from an episode (my DVR doesn't specify the names of episode when they repeat) where Shark says to Fitz "Golden Joe is like Magical. He's all disappeary and shut. You watch that, okay?" ~ GardenStater

[edit] Fitz Sliced the Talent Scout's Head?

The article says Fitz was the most-likely responsible, yet I didn't really see anything supporting that. Did anyone else?

I immediately thought he did it too, but upon further showings of the episode, I noticed something. Look at Fitz's face. He's definitely taken completely of-guard by this. If he did do it, that's not the expression he'd wear.
upon watching episode 7 of season 1, i noticed that Rhoda's head slicing was oddly similar to the one that happend to the talent scout, maybee the rectangular bunniness man was watching and decided to kill him to (a) make sure mouse continued working for shark or (b) because he kills anything that annoys him.
In an episode in Season 2 the Talent Scout's head is yet again mysterious cut off while he is talking with shark.
Most characters in the show are reanimated and die again later. It is just part of the show.

[edit] Where did these come from?

I can't find any sources to back up these statements:

At the Screen Actors Guild Awards of 2005, acclaimed American actor Don Cheadle stated that he believed 12 oz. Mouse to be the "best show on television."

On March 3, 2006, Mouse Fitzgerald saved the world from an alien invasion. 24.217.231.1 06:26, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

There is no source for the 'alien invasion' trivia. Saving the world from an alien invasion.. trivial indeed. OH MY GOSH, IT'S A GIANT EYEBALL AND GREEN THING WITH A GOLDEN DOLLAR SIGN TOOTH MGlosenger 03:01, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

the alien invasion comment is the work of one or two people who made it up and have been attempting to propogate it on the adult swim message board and here. ive personally removed it from this page several times, but they always put it back pretty soon. just figured someone should know.

[edit] 12 oz music/soundtrack

Can someone make a list of music featured in 12 oz? i.e. tongo hiti's Princess Cruiser, Roostre's songs, Nine Pound Hammer, "Sharkian Tunes," "Rhoda's Death," etc..

By the way, does anybody know what song the spider starts playing when Roostre goes "man what the hell are you playing is that ol' booger haze?" Is the song actually called booger haze? or is it not even a full song?

The song (and the episode you refer to) is indeed titled "Booger Haze".

[edit] Running Jokes section

This section is questionable as it exists now. The two items listed aren't really even running jokes. The homoeroticism was more like a one-time joke and the "meat wars" are part of the background history but not really a joke. I guess what I'm saying is, we should either populate this section or get rid of it. --Cornprone 19:06, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What do the numbers in Dec 4, 2006 episode mean?

5 rows of 6 numbers appeared in the credits at the end of the episode the last line has a plus sign it it. Are they like the Hatch numbers on LOST? Or just a practical joke? Any numbers freaks out there who might know?

14 32 21 37 28 54 .

30 19 45 29 20 45 .

31 54 18 21 19 16 .

54 28 35 19 28 32 .

54 45 21 14 39+49 .

The numbers on row 5 add up to 222, the time on all the clocks when time stopped? The other 4 rows added dont mean anything that I can see neither do the columns added up.

Not coming from me, but from some guy on some message board (apparently):

Template:Spoiler "the codes are based on the letters on a computer keyboard. starting from the top left and numbering the keys in the rows.... so Q-P are 13-22, A-L are 27-35, Z-M are 40-46, spacebar is 54... and 39+49 is shift-/, or ? and the answer is: who's funding your slush now?" Template:EndspoilerNphase 01:12, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

How in the world do u figure something like that out unless u work for the show or know the peeps who wrote that!!!??? crazy.

[edit] Skillet an O'Reilly Books Animal?

Check out this site http://www.oreilly.com/

An specifically this guy http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/nfs2/ it looks like skillet kinda. I checked a ton of the books and although i didn't find skillet himself, im dying to know if they got inspiration (or directly got the idea) for skillet from these book covers. check a few out and see for yourself!!

and, a video drum solo of skillet with comments thinking the same thing... http://www.videosift.com/story.php?id=4060

Yeah, I figure they both use the same clip art, maybe even the same guy (botanist type?) drew them all, all of O'Reilly's animals are in the same style.. MGlosenger 06:34, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 12 oz Mouse inspired by...

Am I the only one who sees striking similarities between 12 oz mouse and the old 1967 television show The Prisoner?? Being sent to a bizarre environment where everyone has a secret? The detached, dream-like dialogue and atmosphere? Yakwhacker 18:01, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Totally, but that's original research. I guess if you can find an interview saying it, because other wise it could be argued they just draw on common archetypes.GolumTR 16:21, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Shark appearance in Aqua Teen Hunger Force

Near the very end of the episode "Escape From Leprechaupolis" (Season 1, Episode 2) of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Shark from 12 oz. Mouse appears on the left-hand side of the screen. I'm not sure where this could be edited into for the page, or the proper procedure to do so. I also realize that the ATHF episode probably aired prior to the creation of 12 oz. Mouse, though I haven't checked the dates of either. --75.71.18.24 (talk) 09:59, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

No, Jesus, fuck off. It's Wikipedia, not trivia central. The shark is from the opening of Sealab 2020. You can see it in the intro of Sealab 2021. It also appears as Old Kentucky Shark in Space Ghost Coast to Coast. 90.211.193.175 (talk) 12:22, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
