School IP address Attention:

This IP address, 129.133.124.252, is registered to Wesleyan University and may be shared by multiple users of an educational institution. If the institution uses proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason a message intended for one person may be received by another. Similarly an innocent user may be blocked for another user's vandalism. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please read our advice on this situation.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block with the template {{schoolblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of persistent vandalism from this IP address, anonymous editing may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time. Abuse reports may also be forwarded to your school administration for investigation.
School staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 03:01, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] January 2008

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Theta Nu Epsilon. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution.

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Sorry, but I have just reported this person. He's sock-puppeting the entire discussion page. He even cut and pasted MY ISP to sign his posts with. Check at the end of the 'Founding Dates' secrtion.

"THE original papers say December 11, sworn affidavits of the founders prepared decades later say December 11. December 5 was never correct. Let it go. ---Writing from Middletown. 129.133.124.252 (talk) 01:40, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Here the Purdue poster has tried to fake that he's from Middletown.129.133.124.252 (talk) 04:19, 29 January 2008 (UTC)"

I wrote the second comment, NOT the first. He's posting irrational nonsense, and is just doing it for sport. His claim is that the secrets of the Presidents of the United States is held by an undergraduate society at Purdue, (somehow transmitted to them from Skull & Bones).

Feel free to look into the matter more.

Like I said to the other IP, I have no side in this dispute, I merely was pointing out that you were about to break a blockable policy (WP:3RR) and that you should stop reverting and take it to the talk page and if that doesnt work then feel free to post your concerns on the administrators noticeboard. I did not protect the page, User:Yamamoto Ichiro did so if you have anymore questions, feel free to contact that admin. Good luck and cheers!

[edit] References tags on Wesleyan

Hello 252. I noticed you removed the {{refimprove}} tag from Wesleyan University. Quite a few paragraphs and sections within the article still lack references, so I've replaced the tag. I also added a few similar tags to sections to show you where the article needs the most attention of referencing. If you have any questions or concerns about this tag, please don't hestitate to respond on my talk page, but do not move the template until referencing has been significantly addressed. Thank you. --Pgagnon999 (talk) 18:00, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] User name

Hello 252, Regarding your contributions to Theta Nu Epsilon, I'm wondering if you would consider creating a username for yourself. The article talk page has been inundated by IP edits, resulting in a lot of confusion about who said what & a subsequent page protection block. Creating a username will help to relieve some of that stress and make things move along more smoothly for everyone (including yourself). There's no need to use real personal information in creating an account.

Alternately, you could simply sign your posts manually with whatever invented handle want; this way, you wouldn't even have to create an account.

Thanks for your consideration. --Pgagnon999 (talk) 03:44, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Theta Nu

I recommend not replying to the most recent outburst per WP:DNFT. That's the best medicine.--Pgagnon999 (talk) 02:22, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
