[edit] YCT
I am the one who placed the Proposed Deletion on the Young Conservatives of Texas article. You said that the whoever did that must not agree with the purpose of the organization (which is not true, by the way). Wikipedia has very specific guidelines regarding which organizations are notable enough, and in general state federations of national organizations are not notable and are to be deleted.
Now, as far as the YCT goes, I have looked a little further, and from what I can tell, YCT is not just a state chapter of a national organization. They seem to get a lot of googlenews hits, and I think it is notable enough to remain. So, thanks for objecting to my proposed deletion, since it made me do a little further research. If you like wikipedia, I suggest that you get a username, which makes things a lot easier.--RedShiftPA (talk) 16:47, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
