That account was blocked because it was being used for some extremely unpleasant personal attacks by an editor whose main account is already blocked. We very much welcome constructive contributions to Wikipedia, and given that you have found a different IP address, you can now go ahead and create an account and resume contributing with it. Accounts offer more anonymity (since we don't know the IP of your account) and are quick, easy and free to create. Maintaining a productive editing environment free of personal attacks and vandalism is important to the overall health of the project, as I'm sure you will agree. Thanks, Gwernol 15:36, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Admin abuse???
There are four unblock notices on that IP. Which response are you describing as "inappropriate"? Please be very careful before throwing around accusations like "admin abuse". I don't see any on that page. Thanks, Gwernol 10:34, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for explaining. Sorry, I didn't think to look in the page history. Yes, that was a vandal, whose account has now been indefinitely blocked. As you say, only admins are allowed to decline or grant unblock requests, but any editor can edit any page, so there's little we can do to sto childish abuse like this. It only breaks the rules for a non-admin to edit an unblock request, not the software. The good news is we usually pick up such abuse quite swiftly. Thanks, Gwernol 10:43, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Christopher Conselice
No problem. I noticed your reversion although it wasn't perfect, but I've rectified it. I'm happy that you never intended to vandalise, but in future to avoid confusions like what happened, please click on show preview and check if everything's perfect before clicking save page. You may also remove that warning I left you. Have a nice day ahead. S3000 ☎ 14:46, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia articles, such as those you made to Michael Carrick, even if your ultimate intention is to fix them. Such edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Struway2 (talk) 15:14, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Patrice Evra. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. Thank you. Gwernol 15:07, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Dinky Toy. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. - Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Keith Howard, are considered vandalism and are immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Henri Laborit do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: 'youtube\.com' (link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eYE3wxlpuY) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image or a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! XLinkBot (talk) 17:04, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
