Attention:
This host, cache1-out.nottingham.ac.uk, is registered to The University of Nottingham (UK) and may be shared by multiple users of an educational institution. If the institution uses proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.
For this reason a message intended for one person may be received by another. Similarly an innocent user may be blocked for another user's vandalism. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please read our advice on this situation.
Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block with the template {{schoolblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.
|
Note: In the event of persistent vandalism from this IP address, anonymous editing may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time. Abuse reports may also be forwarded to your school administration for investigation. |
School staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format. |
[edit] January 2008
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. STORMTRACKER 94 22:52, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
[edit] February 2008
Your recent edit to Cultural geography (diff) was reverted by an automated bot. The edit was identified as adding vandalism, or link spam to the page or having an inappropriate edit summary. If you want to experiment, please use the preview button while editing or consider using the sandbox. If this revert was in error, please contact the bot operator. If you made an edit that removed a large amount of content, try doing smaller edits instead. Thanks! // VoABot II (talk) 22:27, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Apologies
This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. LittleOldMe (talk) 09:07, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Apologies, I reverted edits by 195.216.34.248 on the Floorball article and your edit and mine were almost simultaneous. I followed the IP directly below my edit and issued the warning. Sorry, my mistake. LittleOldMe (talk) 09:14, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- I meant to remove the warning I gave you, but it didn't show up when I went to this page. Servers must not have caught up. Sorry. J.delanoy gabs adds 14:00, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
I think I misunderstood the seriousness of what was done. It's impolite but it doesn't really break any rules. The article has been tagged, but no revert is being done this time. It looks ridiculous, though, to have the same information twice.Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 14:19, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] May 2008
This is your only warning.
The next time you make a personal attack as you did at User talk:RickK, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Gwernol 14:50, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Request reason: "This IP address is shared by users of the University of Notttingham (along with a few other IP adresses) and a blanket ban for a month is covering several editors who do good work for the sake of one person who's used the University's account to attack someone because they've been warned on their personal account"
Decline reason: "This IP has been blocked several times for disruption to the encyclopedia.
If you wish to contribute to this encyclopedia, please create an account at home and log in with it here.
Due to persistent vandalism (see edit log), editing by anonymous users from your school, library or institution's IP address may be currently disabled. You continue to have full access to read the encyclopedia. If you are logged in but still unable to edit, please follow these instructions. To prevent abuse, account creation via this IP address is probably also disabled.
If editing is required for class projects, please have your teacher or network administrator contact us (with reference to this IP address) at unblock-en-l from an email address listed on your school's website. Alternatively, if you have no Internet access at home, you may email us using your school-issued email address, telling us your preferred username. An account will be created for you. Please check on this list that the username you choose has not already been taken.
Thank you.

Request reason: " why don't you have a look who reported this IP to the wp:AIV or why don't you look at who added the sock puppet template at the top of this page- im sure you can work it out.--128.243.220.21 (talk) 15:08, 1 May 2008 (UTC)"

Surely giving the reason that this account has been blocked before doesn't solely justify keeping the block in place?"
Decline reason: "Users who wish to edit from this IP may register an account from a different IP address and are free to edit from anywhere, including blocked IP addresses.
