School IP address Attention:

This host, blackwidow.cedar.buffalo.edu, is registered to State University of New York at Buffalo and may be shared by multiple users of an educational institution. If the institution uses proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason a message intended for one person may be received by another. Similarly an innocent user may be blocked for another user's vandalism. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please read our advice on this situation.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block with the template {{schoolblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of persistent vandalism from this IP address, anonymous editing may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time. Abuse reports may also be forwarded to your school administration for investigation.
School staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

[edit] Banning policy

I'm not going to revert your restoration of the comments since you seem to believe strongly in it, but I am curious where you got the idea that banned users are welcome to edit talk pages. The Wikipedia:Banning policy states they cannot edit pages, and does not mention any exception for talk pages, or am I missing something? I apologize to edit the page this way a second time, I meant no disrespect to you or anyone, I thought it was just a misunderstanding on your point. Since you seem certain, I left it as is because it is likely a misunderstanding on my part instead. Sorry and thank you for the clarification. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.205.165.177 (talk) 23:13, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines has a section on editing the comments of others. While neither you nor the other anonymous editor have made comments that could seem vandalous, the removal of comments by other users can be seen as a misrepresentation of all sides and as a bad faith edit. The other anon user has no history of being banned, and while they may well be a sockpuppet, and if their edits on articles are incorrect you may correct them, talk pages have no such rules. Both of you equally have the right to edit any page, unless and until one becomes vandalous or can be proven as a sockpuppet. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 23:21, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hi, Komdori or LactosteTI

Komdori (talk · contribs), welcome back, or LactoseTI (talk · contribs)? You said you and LactosTI work at the same school. I'm glad that I can wrap up something unfinished. Just log in with your account and contribute to Wikipedia because we need more people's attention to Japan-Korean related articles. Cheers!--Appletrees (talk) 14:25, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Komdori/Lactose, please show your face when editing here. We've had enough trouble with anon IP disruption on Korean/Japanese topics. Avoiding scrutiny by logged-out editing, when you are an established editor, will be treated as disruptive sockpuppetry. Fut.Perf. 15:12, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
